Introducing GetResponse To Your Business
GetResponse email marketing review was one of the most requested topics I have been asked for the last 2 weeks, so I have decided to give my opinion and experience with their service.
First of all, I just want to let you know that GetResponse is not the current tool I’m using for my email marketing campaigns (although I have used it before). So, in this article, you will find a full unbiased review of how GetResponse works, its features, benefits and weak points.
Things being said, for the purpose of this study, I have created an account, and I’ve tested some of the features.
Another thing I want to point out is that they offer a Free 30-Day Trial of new members, so you can create an account and test it yourself and see if you like it or not. Check if the service is user-friendly if you like designs, support, etc. and then compare it with other services, such as Aweber, Mail Chimp or Constant Contact.
CREATING AN ACCOUNT WITH GETRESPONSE
There are only 4 easy Steps to follow to create an account with GetResponse. See below my Step-by-Step guide to registering a Free account:
STEP 1: Go to Www.GetResponse.com and register a FREE account:

STEP 2: Confirm your subscription which has been sent to your email box:

STEP 3: Complete Account details. (Note: Select a valid mobile number as they will send you a confirmation code that you will need to input to confirm your account)

STEP 4: A confirmation number will be forwarded to your mobile phone. After that, you are all set to start digging into the GetResponse member’s area.
GetResponse Email Marketing Service
Now that you have created an account, I want to show you some of the main features of Getresponse that I personally prefer. If you are an internet marketer like me, you can easily identify which are the critical factors that a good autoresponder service should have. Check below.
Most important aspects that I look in an autoresponder service is:
- Easy to use and navigate.
- Easy setup of campaigns: mainly the autoresponder series and sign-up forms.
- Good email service deliverability: I hate having my autoresponder series going to the SPAM folder.
- Good Support: It’s very helpful to have a quick support team to get back to you whenever you have a problem.
- Customizable Opt-in forms with good looking designs.
- Best service at the lowest price possible.
So, How Good Is GetResponse in these aspects?
As regards design, the site looks quite clean and professional. It’s easy to find what you look for with a simple navigation menu on the top (Contacts, Messages, Forms, Landing Pages, etc.). See below image of the member’s area (click on the picture to zoom in):

If you take a look at the member’s area, you can notice that it is pretty straightforward and intuitive to navigate through the menu, and it’s not overwhelming at all.
Now, if you check on the left side, just in the middle, you can see a light blue button that says “Live Chat 24/7“. This is one of the most important features I found from GetResponse. I tested the live chat support, and they really answer you instantly even late at night.
For Opt-in forms, you will get +500 different templates that you can customize easily, simply with drag & drop feature (You can also change colors and texts). Just to show you a sample of the pre-designed templates, check below (By the way they are quite pretty, so you might not need to do a massive change to them):

Now, talking about the email service deliverability, GetResponse does an excellent job in this field. I have tested sending an email to a Hotmail account (which are the most complicated to reach as emails always tend go to the Spam folder), and it worked perfectly. So, they are really superb in this aspect.
Side Note: I always recommend to have a Gmail account as they offer an excellent email service
What I also want to point out of GetResponse is that they provide a Landing page design service for free (also included in your Trial period) which usually costs around $25 per month with other services such as LeadPages or InstaPages. In my opinion not too easy to customize them. I struggled a little bit tweaking around some of them. Nevertheless, you have these free landing pages that can be correctly used on your websites.
Additionally, they count with a “GetResponse University” where they teach you all about Email Marketing and how to improve your campaigns for FREE. This is an excellent feature that I didn’t found on other autoresponder services.
The GetResponse University has 2 plans: the “Short – Intensive” or a “Long – at your peace“. Contents are the same in both schemes, the only difference is the time which you will be taking to complete the training. The most used are the 180-day training as most of the people don’t have 3 spare hours per day to spend on it. You can check below for more details:

If you do a market research between the most used Email Autoresponder services, you will find that they all cost almost the same. They may vary in $4 or $5 but definitely, the price will not be an important factor when choosing to which email service provider you will be signing in.
If it happens that you find a huge variance in price between services, bare in mind that this will be an investment. Don’t think about it as an expense as your intention is to create a successful online business. In my case, if a service is excellent and provides me what I need, I pay for it.
GETRESPONSE EMAIL MARKETING REVIEW – VERDICT
As I said at the beginning of this article, I’m not currently using GetResponse, but it is an outstanding service indeed.
The one I’m personally using is Aweber, which has a little fewer features than GetResponse, but it has a very fast and professional email deliverability.
My Top Recommendations are #1 Aweber and #2 GetResponse. There is no much of a variance between this 2, so the decision will rely on your personal feelings about each and obviously, your needs and wants.
What I do recommend, is to take advantage of the free trial they offer. Don’t go just for the paid version. Try each of the autoresponder services that provide a free trial and see which best suits you. Almost all these services offer a 30-day trial or even 60-day trial.
Lastly, before I give closure to this article, I just want to recommend not to get involved in email marketing if you are just starting with your website. If you are new, and you have a new blog, you must first focus on creating content and rankings on search engines. This will drive traffic to your website which is the Secret Key to have a good email marketing campaign. Bare in mind, below statement:
NO TRAFFIC = NO SUBSCRIBERS
