1. Who am I?

Okay, so before I jump onto the review of this affiliate program, I want to introduce myself (in case you haven’t read my other posts).

My name is Kevin and I’ve been an affiliate marketer for about 8+ years, earning passive income promoting products/services on different niches. Mainly through Amazon Associates. So due to my expertise on this matter, I will also give you some tips on how to sell and be successful with high-ticket affiliate programs.

2 things I always look before joining affiliate programs (and I encourage you do the same) are:

I focus on these 2 because our time is valuable. Imagine putting a lot of work in promoting something that leaves you $5 or $10 per sale.. you will need tons of sales to get some decent income and that’s not the goal here.

So, things being said, lets stop talking about me and lets start reviewing what this program has to offer.

2. Introduction to BeRush: What is all about?

First thing to be clear is that BeRush is the affiliate program of SEMrush. And if you don’t know what is SEMrush, I will briefly explain it. (If you already know what the SEMrush tool is about, you might want to jump this section). I created a table of content so that you can go directly to the section you want to check.

What is the SEMrush?

SEMrush is mainly an SEO tool that has won many awards as the top #1 tool on 2017 and 2018. It is used by a wide range of customers: from bloggers, to business owners or digital agencies.

SEMrush its a multinational company which has been online for more than 10 years and they count with more than 500 employees around the world. They have officies on US, Prague, Cyprus and Russia, with 150 regions database that provide their information and useful statistics.

By the time I’m writing this post, they count with more than 4 million active users around the globe.

3. Commissions and Special Rewards for Affiliates

Now, that we are all on the same page, lets get into wht really matters: Commissions and potential earnings.

There are 3 plans you can subscribe in SEMrush and these are:

In case you’ve missed it, BeRush offers a 40% recurring commissions on all products bought on their site. So, for example if you are able to get a sale for the Pro plan, you will be earning $39.98 ($99.95 x 40%) on a monthly basis as long as your referral stays with the plan.

Assume that your referral upgrades his plan to the GURU plan, then you will start receiving $79.98 ($199.95 x 40%) and so on.

Monthly Contest: $100 each month!

Another great compensation they offer are the monthly contest with a prize of $100!

This is a big opportunity BeRush offers for their affiliates to earn not only additional income but also gain exposure and recognition for any kind of content you create about SEMrush. Some of the types of content accepted on the contest are:

The monthly contest runs from the 1st day to the last day of the month. You can always participate if you post different content each month.

Some key points to consider about commissions:

You count with an exclusive 10 year life cookie. This means that when you refer someone to SEMrush, and that guy buys a product on their site, the sale will count for yourself no matter if he clicked on another affiliate link. (NOTE: this is assuming that the person does not clear cookies cache).

Payments are twice a month on the 10th and 25th. You can choose 2 payment methods: Paypal (minimum threshold of $50) or wire transfer (minimum threshold of $1000).

You can redirect your referals to any SEMrush page and the cookie will count for a sale, except for the blog and posts). For this I will show you later some strategies you can implement to boost sales on the upcoming sections.

How to get your referral link?

First of all, you have to join the affiliate program which is completely free. Follow these steps:

You can Grab your affiliate ID on the top right corner or at the section “Promo materials”. With that affiliate link you can point referrals to any page of SEMrush. See below example:

4. Tips to promote SEMrush: Increase your conversions

Now, that we are all on the same page, lets get into wht really matters: Commissions and potential earnings.

There are 3 plans you can subscribe in SEMrush and these are:

TIP #1: SHOW RATHER THAN TELL

Focus on showing how the tool works and how the features can be used. One great thing to do is to show strategies that you use with the tool in the form of a step-by-step video. These strategies can be about keyword research, competitor analysis or whatsoever.

Try to avoid targeting generic keyword search terms like: “XXX REVIEW” because there are a lot of people doing the same and some are big competitors for you. Instead, try KW terms like “How to (Do/use something) with SEMrush”

TIP #2: BE HONEST WITH YOUR AUDIENCE

I always encourage affiliates to be honest on what they are promoting. In this case, its an easy one, because SEMrush is a top rated tool but be careful. Also, let your audience know that you are an affiliate and that you earn a commission by promoting the tool (there is no extra cost for the buyer anyway!) and you will establish transparency with your audience.

TIP #3: FREE TRIAL WARNING

Make sure that when promoting the 7-day trial offer you let your audience know that a credit card is required. This point is important because many users don’t want to get a credit card signed up.

TIP #4: LEVERAGE CONTESTS

As I told you before, creating great pieces of content on your site will lead you to win the $100 prizes but apart from the monetary aspect, you might get shared on BeRush social accounts and posts. This will bring traffic to your site and obviously gain more authority.

TIP #5: Try the tool

If you promote SEMrush, I highly encourage you to try the tool. It makes no sense to promote something you haven’t tried and make false statements.

As I told you earlier, if you show how the tool works and you show some of your strategies, it will be a killer combination on your promotion campaign.
